Weekly Photo Challenge: One Love

IMG_7781

One love? Gimme a break. I mean, no offense, Bob Marley, but I think all of our hearts have room for more than just ONE love. And so did the ancient Greeks. As a matter of fact, they allowed for a whopping 6 types of love. They are as follows:

Eros: sexual passion, Philia: deep friendship, Ludus: playful love, Agape: love for everyone, Pragma: longstanding love, and Philautia: love of self.

Yes, I’m on board with the ancient Greeks. One love is just too jealous, just too rigid and demanding, just too…..unlovable of a philosophy . Give me six types of love at least. When it comes to love, I don’t want limits.

  1. Bridget, this was funny. Love those clasped hands and the reflection. The post above yours in reader said almost the same thing. I thought it was you again. It’s great when we share these views in common.
